Midget C1 Win Gold & Midget C3 Win Silver in SMHA Bantam Midget Christmas Tournament
After playing 5 games in 3 days,Saanich Midget C1 played one more game on New Years Day, in the SMHA Bantam Midget Christmas Tournament hosted at Pearkes Arena. It was so fitting after a hard fought, shootout win earlier in the day against Richmond, to play Saanich Midget C3 for the gold medal. Both teams had played exceptionally well to this point in the tournament with 3-1 records and semi-final wins, and as regular practice partners, all the players were more than familiar with each other. But on this night, Midget C1 triumphed against a very worthy opponent and won the gold medal. Well done to both Saanich teams – congratulations to the organizers for a great tournament!

The Saanich Bantam/Midget Tournament would like to thank the following sponsors for their support:
Starbucks - Save On Foods - AJ Paulo Landscaping - Old Dutch - Victoria Royals - Accent Inns - Speedway Motors - Island Farms Dairy Ltd. - BCAA - Compost Education Center - Sysco - Butchart Gardens - Purdys Chocolates
